JARDIN JAPONES

On Wednesday I took the Subte (the Buenos Aires subway train) out to the neighbourhood of Palermo. I took a walk around the Jardin Botanical Gardens where they have over 2000 different species of plants from all around the world. There are also a lot of stray cats here too. People in Buenos Aires don't seem to mind the cats, I even saw some people talking to and patting the cats. I certainly wasn't about to pat them as they all looked rather dirty.

After the botanic gardens I made my way to the Jardin Japones gardens. It is a large park done in the traditional japanese styles. They had a pond filled with carp (fish) which people could buy bags of fish food for and feed them. There was even a couple of large geese there too.

I got asked by quite a few people to take photo's for them, I couldn't understand them speaking spanish to me and they couldn't understand me speaking english to them but with hand gestures and some laughter we managed to work out what to do.
There were some really nice rock formations in the pond and a beautiful red bridge in the middle of the pond.
